Sun's Forte(TM) for Java(TM) Product Wins Best Java IDE In JavaWorld's Editors' Choice Awards; Product Bests Borland's JBuilder and IntelliJ's IDEA.

SAN FRANCISCO -- JavaOne(SM) Developer Conference -- Sun Microsystems, Inc. today announced that its Forte(TM) for Java(TM) 3.0 integrated development environment (IDE) won "Best Java IDE" at the JavaWorld Editors' Choice awards ceremony on March 25th. The product bested Borland Software's JBuilder 6.0 Enterprise and IntelliJ's IDEA 2.5.

During the judging process, JavaWorld author and judge Abraham Kang, security architect at Jamcracker, said, "Forte for Java really shows the benefits of Java(TM) technology: functionality, beauty and cross-platform compatibility."
