JON VOIGHT: When you were three months old your mother put you in a commercial.

RICK SCHEODEE: I made sixty commercials by the time I was seven. Then, I worked with you on The Champ (1979).

JV: You were pushed into this work, and then all of a sudden you woke up and said, "Wait a minute, is this what I really want to do?"

RS: I moved to Colorado in 1990 and fell in love with ranching. I fell in love with my life there, with my wife and my kids, deeply. My professional life just sort of went away. I was about twenty-two years old before I chose acting as what I wanted to do.

JV: I remember that you were technically very good around the camera ...
